Arman Afsar, MBA
Founder/Chairman/President/CEO
Arman Afsar
is a true Visionary and has over 24 years of experience in Executive
Management, Business Development, Automation, Customer Service, Marketing
and Operations. Throughout his
career, Arman has applied his vision into solutions that bring People,
Process and Technology together to resolve complex business
challenges.
Arman has set
many trends in the Information Processing industry. For example, he created one of the
first Voice Mail and Automated Attendant companies in the US
catering to the Service and Telco Industries. His voice processing applications have
revolutionized the way we use Interactive Voice Response systems
today. He also created the
California Email, an online internet email service, in the early 90’s
when the online industry was dominated by AOL, CompuServe and
Prodigy. Arman’s management style,
innovations and use of technology helped earn EarthLink the PC Magazine’s
Editor’s Choice Award for Best Service.
As Management
Consultant, General Manager of HostPro/Interland, VP of Client Services
of BroadBand Digital Group/Winfire &
Director of Technical Support at EarthLink, Arman executed with
leadership & quality, consistently exceeding the expectations of his
clients and employers.
In his current
position as CEO of Automaptics, Arman is setting new trends in the way
people search for information on the internet. His vision, persistence and business
development acumen has uncovered new business opportunities in almost
every industry.
Arman Afsar
has an Engineering Degree and an MBA from the University of Southern
California (USC). In addition to
his daily work schedule, Arman is guest lecturer at USC and is working on
advancing his Black Belt in Hapkido to higher degrees.
Randall B. Vaughan
Chief Strategy
Officer
Randall Vaughan has
30 years experience in Executive and Operations Management, Business
Development, Marketing, Program & Product Management. Vaughan was
Senior Director of Product and Marketing for the first five years of the
CompuServe Information Service where he took the service to over 250,000
users and $30M in annual revenue and $10M+ in annual profitability. Vaughan was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at
NovaLink, named the fastest growing ISP in Massachusetts by Deloitte Touche, where
he significantly contributed to the growth. Vaughan
was also Director of Program Management and Technical Operations for
World Commerce that operated worldwide with non-stop facilities on three
continents and specialized in online ordering and fulfillment for US and
European major companies such as Dole, Chiquita, Del
Monte, Acosta, Royal Cebeco, Ahold and Aalsmeer.
Mr. Vaughan is
currently based in Washington, DC serving as the Deputy Operations and Logistics
Manager for daily operations for all 428 US airports over Specialized
Security for the Transportation Security Administration. Previously, Vaughan opened in
2002 and ran Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) largest
facility at Los Angles International (LAX) Airport in the hiring and
training of 15,000 of TSA’s original 75,000
employees. Vaughan
has recently added Program Management responsibilities for communications
systems for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and
for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Randall Vaughan has
degrees in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Evansville.
Rey D. Buack
Chief Operating Officer
Rey has over 29 years of senior management
experience in international operations, program management, technical support and client services. His business
management experience includes over 20 years of managing P/L functions
and start up environments.
Rey’s unique and extensive experiences involve
companies who have brought innovative products into the market. After
serving for over 7 years in the US Navy, Rey joined start-up ISC Systems
in 1978. ISC was the pioneer of the on-line teller and back office
banking system that is prevalent in all banks and financial institutions
today. ISC grew to a multi-hundred million dollar public company. After 7
years managing a P/L function at ISC, he joined another start-up company
called FileNet Corp. FileNet was the pioneer in the paper automation and
workflow business systems. Rey managed the International Support
Operations (all subsidiaries and partners outside of North
America) as well as all HQ support services functions, worldwide
Logistics and service automation programs. FileNet is currently a
multi-hundred million dollar public company. After 13 years of managing a
P/L function at FileNet, Rey joined EarthLink where he was responsible
for optimizing the call center operations. This entails implementing
extensive automation at the call activity level such as call routing, queuing,
telephone technology, and at the ‘human’ level such as workforce
management systems, electronic based training systems and knowledge base
systems. The result is overall cost efficiency of tens of millions of
dollars and a sustainable call center operation. Leveraging his technical
and software management experience, Rey joined Accelrys
Inc, a maker of analysis, simulation drug discovery software for the
biotech and pharmaceutical companies. At Accelrys,
Rey was responsible for worldwide scientific and technical support. In
addition to working directly for companies, Rey’s experience also
includes being an independent consultant in the call center industry.
Rey holds undergraduate degrees in electronics,
computer science and business administration. He graduated from Pepperdine University with an Executive MBA
in 1987.
